AICP CM Credits are being pursued for this course.
Communities throughout the Atlanta region have dealt with a record number of foreclosures over the past few years. These properties present problems not only for neighbors and businesses, but also for local governments. This workshop will take a look at the latest data on the housing situation and what communities throughout the region are doing to mitigate the negative effects of foreclosures. Code enforcement, increased coordination between departments and other innovative planning tools will be highlighted.
